1. About the service

TaprobaneFi is an independent Sri Lanka-focused market research and education site. We provide public dashboards, editorial coverage, calculators, explainers, a personal income-tax estimator, and account-based workspace features for users who want to save watchlists, custom indexes, tax workbooks, snapshots, and preferences.

TaprobaneFi is a software and information service only. We do not provide brokerage services, execution, custody, legal advice, tax advice, or investment advice.

2. No investment, tax, legal, or accounting advice

Nothing on TaprobaneFi should be treated as a recommendation or solicitation to buy, sell, or hold any security or financial product. Analytics, scorecards, summaries, market commentary, and AI-assisted explanations are provided for informational and educational purposes only.

Tax estimates, filing reminders, expense prompts, and recommendations are general planning aids only. They are not a tax return, assessment, ruling, professional opinion, or instruction to claim a deduction. Do not rely on an estimate as the sole basis for filing, paying, or taking a tax position. Confirm your circumstances with Inland Revenue Department guidance or a qualified Sri Lankan tax professional.

3. Data and accuracy

We aim to provide useful market information, but the service may contain delays, omissions, stale inputs, approximations, or errors. TaprobaneFi is not affiliated with the Colombo Stock Exchange and does not represent its prices as official real-time quotes. You should verify material facts with primary or official sources before acting.

Tax results depend on the year selected, residency, source and character of income, supporting evidence, elections, credits, exemptions, treaty positions, and later legislation or administrative guidance. The estimator cannot determine every legal fact or reproduce an Inland Revenue assessment. You are responsible for reviewing the inputs and using the rules applicable on the date you act.

4. Restricted reuse of exchange-linked outputs

Certain exchange-sourced market data and exchange-linked derived analytics available through TaprobaneFi, including CSE-linked outputs, are for personal informational use only. Unless you have written permission from the relevant rights holder and TaprobaneFi, you may not commercially reuse, resell, redistribute, sublicense, republish, or repackage those outputs.

5. Accounts and user responsibilities

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity carried out through your account. You agree to use the site lawfully and not to abuse, scrape, mirror, or interfere with the service in ways that degrade access for others.

You are also responsible for the accuracy and lawfulness of information you enter or save. Do not enter another person’s confidential financial information without authority, and do not store bank credentials, passwords, tax identification numbers, account numbers, or unnecessary identity documents in a workbook.

6. Advertising and third-party services

TaprobaneFi may contain advertising and may work with third-party service providers for hosting, analytics, security, and advertising operations. Advertising does not change the site disclaimer or create an advisory relationship.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TaprobaneFi and its operators disclaim liability for losses or damages arising from your use of the site, your inability to use the site, delays or inaccuracies in data, or decisions made in reliance on site content.

8. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of TaprobaneFi after an update means you accept the revised terms.
